TMJ Treatment
What is TMJ Treatment?
Habits triggered by stress, such as jaw clenching and teeth grinding, can affect the chewing muscles and the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disc, leading to TMJ disorders. Symptoms may include pain or clicking sounds when opening the mouth, and in some cases, difficulty opening the mouth fully. To help break these habits, it's important to keep the tongue in a stable resting position, and wearing a night guard during sleep is recommended. Additional treatments, including medication, near-infrared therapy, low-level laser therapy, and TENS, can also be helpful.
